A come together is planned for Marvin Schwenk’s exhibition on 6 August 2025 at 7 pm on Karl-Marx-Platz, directly next to CUBIC. Visitors will have the opportunity to ask questions about the artworks, speak to the artist in person, and find out more about the work of the art association. You are warmly invited!

The emerging artist Marvin Schwenk develops minimalist sculptural objects that explore space as an omnipresent element and attempt to make it visible while simultaneously taking on a symbolic form as independent structures within the space. Here, the constructions explore tension, expanse and balance, walking the fine line between the open and the concrete.

Like a line, wooden slats run straight along the floor, bend around three corners, straighten up and turn around – enclosing space, opening it up at their ends, shaping air.

Marvin Schwenk is a student at the Caspar David Friedrich Institute for Fine Arts at the University of Greifswald and this year’s winner of the Insomnale competition.
The art association art-cube e.V. aims to promote young artists and once a year offers students of fine arts the opportunity to present and develop their current artistic work in the Kunstkubus.
