On 12 June 2026, Greifswald will host the Long Evening of the Galleries for the third time. From 5 pm, twelve different exhibition venues across Greifswald will invite visitors to enjoy art and engage in conversation in a relaxed atmosphere. The CUBIC on Karl-Marx-Platz is also part of the programme. Members of the association will be on hand to present the current art installation by Osnabrück-based artist Merle Lembeck. The performance ‘SPIELRAUM’ by Greifswald-based artist Astrid Brünner is planned as the highlight of the evening at CUBIC. It starts at 6.30 pm!

The handling with boundaries, that divide our world into a ‘before’ and an ‘after’, an ‘inside’ and an ‘outside’, is the theme of the performance. How flexible are these boundaries? How much space do I have within them? In what ways can I actively shape them? Leeways are made visible and explored through dance – they offer the opportunity to expand or to withdraw. The process of exploration and experimentation, of lingering and confrontation, is translated into movement. Questions arise regarding the permeability and flexibility of boundaries.
